Professor Boulianne holds an MBA in Information Systems and a PhD in Management Accounting and Information systems. He teaches Managerial Accounting, Risk Management and Information Technology at the BComm, MBA, EMBA, and PhD programs. He is a Canadian CPA and sat on the board of directors of CPA Canada and CPA Quebec. He currently sits on the Institute of Financial Planning’ board of directors. In recognition of his exemplary service to the accounting profession, he was granted the Fellowship Award FCPA. He holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is also a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). Before his academic career, Professor Boulianne worked several years in Commercial Credit at ScotiaBank. Professor Boulianne published in refereed journals such as Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Information Systems and Management Accounting Research, as well as in professional business journals. His current interests cover FinTech, Blockchains, Strategic Performance Management Systems, Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Business Education.
